Join us for our monthly meeting of the Latiné & BIPOC Romance Book Club, a space dedicated to celebrating diverse love stories, powerful voices, and community through romance.
This month, we're reading Crucible by B.B. Reid, a dark, addictive why choose romance inspired by Goldilocks. After a devastating plane crash leaves disgraced pop superstar Aurelia George stranded in the frozen wilderness of Northern Canada, she finds refuge in an isolated cabin occupied by three mysterious mountain men. As survival gives way to obsession, buried trauma, dangerous attraction, and unexpected vulnerability collide in a story filled with forced proximity, emotional intensity, and unforgettable chemistry.
Expect a lively, unfiltered discussion in English as we dive into the book's darker themes, character dynamics, moral gray areas, and emotional complexity. We'll talk about Aurelia's journey of self discovery, the unique relationships between the four main characters, the Goldilocks inspired retelling, and why this book has become such a popular recommendation for fans of dark why choose romance.
B.B. Reid is a bestselling Black American romance author known for writing emotionally intense, diverse romances that push boundaries while exploring complex relationships and flawed characters.
