While reservations are not required to enjoy The Book Lounge, we offer options for book clubs and other small groups to claim a cozy space to meet. Designed to accommodate groups of various sizes, our flexible packages come complete with 1 glass of wine or non alcoholic beverage and a snack. We also offer charcuterie boards and wine pairings curated to your book, on request, to make your gathering extra special.

Join us for our monthly meeting of the Latiné & BIPOC Romance Book Club, a space dedicated to celebrating diverse love stories, powerful voices, and community through romance.
In September, we're reading High Sticking the Heart by Marie Maravilla, a spicy hockey romance featuring fake dating, workplace tension, plenty of banter, and a Latina heroine determined to build a life on her own terms. Ariella has no interest in getting attached, especially when she's focused on breaking away from her family's expectations. Then she meets a charming 6'4" Texan at a bar who asks her to pretend to be his date. The problem? The next day, she discovers her fake date is the star hockey player on the team where she's just been hired as the strength and conditioning coach.
Expect a fun and lively discussion in English as we dive into Ariella and Dalton's chemistry, the fake dating setup, workplace romance, family expectations, cultural identity, and all the reasons we love a man who falls first and falls hard. We'll also talk about the book's Latina representation, grumpy/sunshine dynamic, banter, and, of course, the spice.
Marie Maravilla is a romance author known for writing contemporary and dark romances featuring strong heroines, complicated relationships, and plenty of steam. High Sticking the Heart is the first book in her A Scoring Chance series.
