K.L. Hernandez is a Latine author who takes inspiration from all corners in the melting pot she calls home. It started when she was assigned summer reading and continued through loud bachata music in the mornings. With background music and TV characters that didn’t quite hit the mark, she took up writing stories she could see herself in—a passion that grew after battling leukemia.

When she isn’t at her day job or writing, you can find her frolicking bookstores with a large TBR pile at home, plotting new ideas that ruffle her already busy mind, and searching for her next media hyper-fixation.

This was all fueled by una tostada, cafe con leche, and two croqueticas de jamón.
